Central Park is a must-visit destination in New York City.

You can start by exploring the seasonal flower displays in the Conservatory Garden which is meticulously landscaped and offers a tranquil setting. Don’t forget to take a stroll around the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir for stunning skyline views.

5. The High Line:

The High Line is a relatively new addition to New York City’s parks and is located in the trendy Chelsea neighbourhood.

This elevated park was built on an old rail line and boasts public art installations, beautifully cultivated gardens and comfortable seating areas.

Taking a High Line walking tour can provide insights into the park’s history and its impact on nearby neighbourhoods like the Meatpacking District and Greenwich Village.

6. Gramercy Park:

Gramercy Park is a unique private park in the heart of the city. Access is restricted to keyholders of which there are only 400 in existence. While you may not be able to enter the park itself you can still get a glimpse of its beauty and history by joining a Gramercy Park neighbourhood walking tour.

These parks and gardens offer diverse experiences from natural beauty to urban vitality and they provide an excellent way to relax and immerse yourself in the green spaces of New York City.

Each park has its own charm and unique attractions making them well worth a visit during your time in the city.
